Responsibility: Visual design, interaction design, motion exploration

A ticket-purchase website created for Splatoon fan event. The project focuses on building interfaces through vibrant visuals, playful motion, and ink-inspired interaction elements.

Homepage

The home page presents three main functions—news, event map, and ticket purchase—designed using colorful “splat” elements to match the fan-art theme.

Bold frames and a large “Welcome” word reinforce the vibrant and expressive visual identity.

Event Map

To match the “city of color” theme, I used subway-inspired navigation.
Each activity page corresponds to a venue, allowing users to feel like they are moving through a city.

The event map combines a virtual subway map with the real exhibition layout, helping users locate activities easily.

Event Details

One event detail page simulates a battle area filled with interactive weapons. Clicking on each item reveals splashing ink effects and additional information, adding playfulness and engagement.

Event Details

The second event detail page features a colorless city that gradually fills with color as users click, symbolizing community creativity.
Fan artworks are displayed within the city scene, with a horizontal slide on mobile to ensure all details are visible.

Purchase System

The purchase section allows users to view their cart, select ticket types, and check out smoothly.

I added a magazine-style flipping animation for item previews and used note-paper-style steps in the checkout process to guide users through the flow.

IA Map

This year marks the two-year anniversary of Splatoon 3, a time when updates slow down and fan art activity increases. I wanted to create an event that celebrates the community and encourages fans to share their creativity.

Theme: City of Color

The event is designed as a colorful carnival for fan-art creators and enthusiasts. The concept invites participants to “dye the city with your colors,” symbolizing creative expression.

My research revealed that while the Splatoon fan-art community is large, there is still a distance between creators and their audience. Through this event, I hope to reduce that gap and create a space for open, enjoyable communication among fans and artists.
